Is Hypnotherapy Different From Stage Hypnosis?

Although some of the basic principals of stage and therapeutic hypnosis are the same, hypnotherapy is different from stage hypnosis.
One of the main differences is that in a stage hypnosis demonstration, the hypnotist looks for a certain type of individual to come on stage and do those crazy antics we are all familiar with. This is why you see people being sent back into the audience, from the stage.
You should expect a high level of professionalism from a hypnotherapist. A hypnotherapist should also keep all of your personal information personal, and not exploit you in any way.
Hypnotists who performs stage shows get paid big bucks, so you don't have to worry about a hypnotherapist doing the quack like a duck bit with you, unless you want to pay extra for it ;-)
